Pioneer DJ reveal the new DDJ-RX DJ Controller

by Thursday 17 September 2015 13:02

The new Pioneer DDJ-RX is the latest DJ controller to be released by the well known Pioneer DJ brand. The new controller has been exclusively designed to manage the new Pioneer Rekordbox DJ software. It is speedy, dependable and sounds excellent in any given environment. The new DDJ-RX DJ controller along with the Rekordbox DJ software has been specially created for DJs who use or want to use the performance DJ software on a laptop with a controller. As a result rather than having to take equipment to the venue, the library can easily be exported to a USB, enabling the DJ to use the industry standard equipment that is found in the majority of venues across the globe.

The DDJ-RX has been designed for use with the new Pioneer Rekordbox DJ software, allowing the DJ to prepare tracks and then plug-and-play directly from the laptop, from one single library. Pioneer have captured the need for a fast, reliable software that is easily transportable with top quality sound. The controller emulates the software layout so as to enable the individual to be innate and creative. The four-channel controller allows the user to perform with all four of the Rekordbox DJ decks and each channel has its own level meters and trim pots for maximum control.

The DDJ-RX DJ Controller comes with four inputs which enables easy connection to DJ equipment along with using it as a four-channel stand-alone mixer. The Pioneer DDJ-RX has enhanced low-latency jog wheels for perfect scratch response every time. As the DDJ-RX uses Rekordbox DJ, there is an expansion pack available for the newest Rekordbox DJ software.

The controller also consists of two master outputs (XLR and RCA) and a booth output enabling connections direct to professional PA equipment. The two MIC inputs have been improved to eliminate any distortion. The controller has Performance Pads with multi-coloured cue point LEDs that DJs can instantly trigger Hot Cues, Roll, Slicer and Sampler, or hit Shift to save and activate Cue and Slicer Loops - while Velocity Mode lets them control the sample volume with the amount of pressure they apply. The multi-coloured backlit LEDs give a visual reference to which modes are in play and will reflect cue points that DJs have preset in Rekordbox DJ.

The DDJ-RX is available in November 2015 at an SRP £769 inc. VAT.
