The Pioneer DDJ-SB2 DJ Controller is destined to be popular with budding DJs thanks to its intuitive plug-and-play control of the renowned Serato Intro and Serato DJ Software. DJs are able to unleash their creativity by triggering samples, FX, loops and cues with one hand, whilst seamlessly blending the finest mixes via the innovative Filter Fade with the other. The Pioneer DDJ-SB2 is the first entry-level controller to feature level meters and trim pots, putting control of the volume of each track at DJs fingertips.
The DDJ-SB2 includes pro-DJ features usually found on top-notch controllers, including level meters and trim pots (to control volumes on each channel). There is four-deck control and quantised Pad Trans Pad beat effect (which cuts the volume in time with the BPM when the DJ selects the Performance Pads) all new and included at this amazing price!
The USB-powered DDJ-SB2 is more compact and portable than its pro-DJ counterparts (DDJ-SX2 and DDJ-SZ) however it still offers the same functional layout and top quality build along with numerous advanced features.
Intuitive controls for a physical performance: The DDJ-SB2’s layout mirrors Serato DJ Intro and Serato DJ interface, so getting hands on with the controller’s buttons and dials soon becomes second nature. Tactile controls include:
Performance Pads: 4 robust rubber pads allow DJs to trigger Auto Loop, Hot Cue, Manual Loop and Sampler – while an additional 4 give instant access to Cue, Sync, Play and Shift functions.
New level meters and trim pots: The Pioneer DDJ-SB2 is the first entry level DJ controller to feature trim pots and level meters; this puts the control volume of each track at DJs’ fingertips.
Each channel has manual filters: Independent low/high pass filter rotary dial knobs for each channel are inherited from the top flight DDJ-SX2 and DDJ-SR controllers.
Trans effect and Filter Fade take budding DJs beyond mixing: The DDJ-SB2 has several really cool features that are sure to help beginners, such as:
New quantized Trans beat effect: DJs use the Performance Pads to trigger the Pad Trans effect and cut the volume in time with the beat.
Filter Fade: DJs can effortlessly manipulate the bass and the volume with just one hand by assigning 2 high pass filters to the crossfader
Plug-and-play with Serato DJ Intro, including 4-deck control and Serato DJ upgrade-ready: The DDJ-SB2 is the first controller that enables DJs to perform with all four Serato DJ Intro’s decks at a fantastic price. To allow flawless switching, Decks 3 and 4 have their own buttons. In addition, there are selected controls for all of Serato DJ Intro’s features including four samples and four Hot Cues. The controller itself has two FX units per channel, with six FX to choose from and DJs are able to influence the parameters by using a central Level/Depth dial. DJs also have the option to upgrade to Serato DJ to enable control of even more samples, loops and cue points, along with advanced features including record, Slip Mode and FX Powered by iZotope.
