MTV today announced it will be the exclusive international broadcast partner for Tomorrowland 2014, one of the world’s premier dance music festivals.
Tomorrowland was founded in 2004 by the brothers Beers together with ID&T, and has gone on to become one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world, winning the "Best Music Festival" award at IDMA 2014 in Miami.
Tomorrowland will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and as part of the celebration the event will be held over 2 weekends, from the 18th to the 20th of July, and then the 25th to the 27th of July.
MTV will air live footage from the event as part of its MTV World Stage franchise, which will include two hours of live Tomorrowland 2014 footage, plus a special documentary to be released later in 2014, celebrating Tomorrowland’s 10-year history as one of the world’s most successful festivals.
The coverage will premiere in August 2014, and air globally across MTV’s 60+ international channels in nearly 170 territories, to an estimated 550 million homes around the world.
