Two Artful reviews in a week, yeah I know, it might come across as The DJ Book featuring Artful, but this latest bootleg certainly needs a mention.
Hot on the heels of Justin Bieber, who recently sampled Craig David's 2000 UK No.1 hit single, Artful revisits Fill Me In for a 2013 bootleg.
The original which was co-written and produced by Mark Hill (aka Artful), was in itself a huge hit during 2000 to 2001, chalking up positions in the Top 10 and Top 20 charts of 9 countries worldwide at last count.
This new cut features Craig's distinctive vocals throughout, but unlike the original it is a much deeper stripped down mix. Coupled with a heavier/deeper bass line it certainly hasn't lost its edge, if anything this is the club mix, just 13 years late :)
With numerous plays from MistaJam on his Radio 1xtra show, and already notching up over 8,000 plays on SoundCloud alone, this is a big tune set to go the distance.
Currently there's no official release date set, but with any luck it will drop as either a official release, or free download sometime in the not too distance future. Follow Artful's official Twitter feed at twitter.com/thisisartful for more on this and future releases.
